Work on an album of video-game music progressing nicely... What type of game music do YOU like?

Posted by EmperorCharlemagne - September 24th, 2009

Slowly but surely, I am compiling a repertoire of my Video-game inspired music together for a comprehensive mini-album, tentatively titled Master Battles, a reference to the nature of all of the music on the album, which is inspired and modeled after boss-fight music, which is my favorite part of the soundtrack of a game.

Is it yours? Or is it something else?

The album will be posted in its entirety onto my last.fm page, linked here.

HOWEVER!
There are a few tracks that will be on Newgrounds' Audio Portal. You may listen to one right now:
The Showdown

This gives a generalidea of the nature of the collection, which I hope to have 10 songs ranging from different styles from heavy rock to string-heavy music. I like diversity, so I can't quite make everything similar, right? I'm not like the maker of the Touhou music!

Hopefully, this will be completed in a timely manner, around the middle of October... I've already finished half of the album, but I am a notoriously slow-worker... After this, I wouldn't mind going back to my more experimental classical music, a la my Piano Studies.
