Any yahoo can make a fake-sounding 16bit songs with a few plugin instruments; any wahoo can cobble together a song with square-waves and call it 8bit.

BUT THOSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG.

You don't want that; you care about AUTHENTIC, HONEST-TO-GOODNESS wholesome chiptune music, because you want your game project to look, sound, and FEEL like it came fresh off the hardware!

You care about that type of quality. You've tried the rest... Now hear the best.

EmperorCharlemagne promises that any type of game music you need for your SNES/Genesis/NES/TGFX-16 tributes, if you so need it, will be made with love and care. These tracks will run on the actual hardware itself!

Take a listen:
8-bit NES-styled track!
Sega-Genesis Track emulating hardware soundchip!
Real 16bit!
Crafted to sound like the best of the SNES!
AND MORE

Of course, I make more than just chiptunes and 16bit music, so I am no one-trick pony! (NO PONIES TO BE FOUND HERE)
But when you are making your game, or video, or anything that you need music for, or if you just want to jam to the tunes of yesteryear, do not hesitate to contact me through Private Message. I'm hear to make your awesome projects SOUND AWESOME.

Happy Listening, gamers and programmers of Newgrounds!
(INCLUDED: A badass poster of the 80s arcade game METAL SOLDIER ISAAC II)

Need AUTHENTIC 8bit and 16bit Music tracks for your Game Project? LOOK NO FURTHER

It's a pretty cool and free program that lets you make sega genesis chiptunes/fm synthesis. It's an advanced tracker and my favorite tracker out there.

I made this with it:

The program can be downloaded from here:

If any of you are fans of the Darius series, or RayForce series, or anything Zuntata and Hisayoshi Ogura (Tamayo Kawamoto too!) you might like this song I made just recently : )

IronLife Rhythm

It was made to sound like it could run off an FM chip, just like in the original Darius 1 arcade machine.

So listen, and perhaps pretend you're taking out evil space fish in a factory setting somewhere!

Just made a Zuntata/Hisayoshi Ogura-inspired Track! Take a listen!

School is a lot of work, and I have a lot of music projects to work on as well. No rest for the wicked!

Anyhoo, I usually am pretty generous in leaving lots of music reviews for people, but I've been VERY busy with school, apartment hunting, job hunting, and whatnot. But I hope to get back into the groove of things soon enough.

So my scattered friends across the AP, I haven't forgotten about you, and have listened to some of your new stuff; I just haven't had the time to sit down and give my thoughts.

All the best,
EC

Will try to be a little more active in posting songs/reviews in the AP

A real BRO and all-around cool guy left the audio portal, taking his music with him.

Take care, dude: you were one of my fav artists on the site.

For you, a DOLEMITE fist-pound is in order.

Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold.

PS Naw your 8bit music was always better than mine :p

Fare thee well, Calamaistr.

And by that I mean emulate the Genesis soundchip to make some pretty bitchin' tracks, which you should check out if you love Genesis games like Castlevania Bloodlines, Dynamite Headdy, Phantasy Star, etc etc.

Check 'em out!!!

Deadly Spider Vixen
Weirdo Ruins
The Elephant Man
and my latest greatest,
Life of a Villain

If you like 16bit game music, I have a strong hunch that you'll enjoy the heck out of these! Take a listen, drop a comment, and remember, blast processing is the only way to go!

Emperor Charlemagne does what Nintendon't!

Shiru's TFMusic Maker is a pretty powerful and relatively easy-to-use tracker that accurately recreates Genesis/Mega-Drive sounds from the soundtracks we all grew up loving, like Sonic 3, Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force, and many more.

The best part about it is that it's totally free:
http://shiru.untergrund.net/software.s html

So if you want to go ahead and make Genesis-sounding music yourself, there's your avenue.

My first full-fledged song with TFMM has just been posted:
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /360823

Listen to it and tell me how you think I did!

Not that anyone reads this, but to let all know:

-I've returned from a relaxing and enjoyable vacation

-I go back to college soon

-Could use some money

-Most importantly, I made a new track!
Continuing a Legacy

It's the first I made with my new DAW I'm trying out, Reaper. I have to thank the Audio Portal for showing me how to get the hang of it; I actually kinda like how it works thus far.

Give a listen if you can, and enjoy the rest of your respective summers!
Saw a lot of shooting stars recently... Was there a UFO among them???

Back from vacation and already a new track??? You must listen!

So the couple of guys who usually ask me to look at their stuff, this means I WILL NOT be doing so.

As well, that means no new music to ogle at (with your ears of course).

However, that doesn't mean you still can't check out three of my latest tracks, which are tragically under-reviewed!

Orion Space Station
This Lovely Feelin'
RoboWizard

Farewell, I'm going on a journey (does that make me a traveler too?)!

Going on vacation for a week.. So that means no songs and no new reviews!
